This product, like so many others, is cute but a far cry from the older Barbie products. The dolls are cheaply made. Yeah, the heads and faces are attractive, but the body is so disappointing and frustrating. This is the 2nd one gifted to my daughter. A leg broke off the first one and the plastic piece that attaches on the inside completely broke off, so there is no way to repair it. The old Barbies used to have a strong rubberband type of attachment on the inside that could be reattached or replaced. The legs could pop off and back on and still work like a gem. The old ones had knee joints for bending. While a very few of the newer Barbies do have bendable joints, the joints are exposed and don't hold position well, making for very frustrating play. Bring the Barbie and Ken dolls back from the 60's, 70's, 80's and even the 90's!!!! They were so much better!!! Also, bring the designer clothing back! I can hardly find any clothes for the dolls, much less any cute, quality clothes anymore. And let's talk doll furniture...not much out there other than what little comes with the Barbie houses. Is Barbie fizzling out???I bought two so I could play on the picnic table with my Granddaughter. She loves it and the ladder and make believe drinks it comes with. She also asks for it in the tub or pool. Nice toy for both of us.Exactly what I was looking for.
