I have an egg crate on the twin bed that we have had for a long time. Its awesome. I have been on a quest to find something of its equal for the queen bed. Unfortunately, this egg crate is not it. It flattens out nearly entirely when you lay on it and it does not relieve my pain at all. It was a lot of money to spend to wake up in pain. I do not understand why all the products out there are subpar to what they were 10 years ago - shouldn't things get better over time not worse? I am not going to try to force this thing back into a small box to return it. We will just use it for now, but it sure is a pain.We either needed to buy a new mattress or try this and this 4 inch egg crate has kept us from spending money on a new mattress. We flipped our mattress over and put this on and it’s great.Holds shape, even after 4mos; 4'' foam is great for reducing hip pain. No wierd smells, but will need deep pocket sheets!I have to rotate this every few days otherwise it slumps in the middle then I wake up really sore.I Can't praise this product enough. I bought gel, memory foam, etc, and they were hard and uncomfortable. This product is my dream come true. It relieves all pressure points, and at last I can sleep on either side or back and have sheer comfort.I was due for a new mattress. However, because I was moving within a year and wanted to buy a new one then, I decide to use the Egg Crate Foam Mattress. It took away my back pain.I loved the productEgg crate is on my spare bed and the guests love it! It's not that thick, like others o have purchased and it did have an order at first but I let it air out for a few hours or a day before putting it on the bed under the fitted sheet. makes for a very comfy bed!
