As the current Queen Judy is slowly loosing her place at the top. And for a new person to move to the top and be number one. This is better in a breakdown of characters.1) Mei BaoModel of ten years but no real success who supports her adopted mother and her trouble making male relative that is the nephew of her adoptive mother. She has been in love with male model Yang Rui...aka..Ray for ten years or more. They used to be neighbors growing up. Her first love and continued crush. She works very hard to make it to the top and will even drink 40 bottles of milk to get it perfect but her opportunities are always crushed or stolen from her. She has a great chance to do an ad for a product that could instantly send her to the top but misses the chance because Dennis had a life threatening reaction to tomatoes and she took him to the hospital. She is trying to repay all the debt that they are under while making the house payments by herself. ( The actress should have been cast better)2) Yang Rui....RayFormer neighbor who is top in his line of business. He can't love anyone due to the unfortunate death of the woman he loved in an accident that he feels responsible for. He is attracted to the new girl who looks like his lost love but not enough to be in love with her or have a relationship with. He unknowingly has some feelings for Mei Bao.3) ViviMei Bao 's manager and friend. She's like family to Mei Bao and helps her through life as a friend and career choices. She falls in love with Dennis sidekick who also happens to be her online gaming friend.4) Adopted motherly personTook her in when her birth mother left her there as a baby. She has memory issues mostly due to Alzheimer's or other form of dementia. She couldn't love her more than a child she had actually given birth to. She loves to garden and sing. She is supportive of her career. She gets lost easily. She hopes her and Dennis will get married. Watch for her crazy fake wedding by the motherly woman during one of her questionable thinking times. Complete with the traditional newlywed couple removing clothes in bed.5) DennisThis is the alias that this rich man goes by to enter into this house and family. Why? Because he has to buy the house in six months to win a bet with his not to loving half brother. If he looses the bet he and his mother have to leave. This brother was the son of a mistress but Dennis accepts him as family but the feeling is not mutual. He's the biggest threat to him. This family is holding up the business plans to tear the old places up and build something new. He acts as a man who just got fired because of Mei Bao and needs a place to live. Top model Judy is his fiancé. But he falls in love with Mei Bao and doesn't know it until the last two discs of the drama. Mei Bao can't accept his real identity. What happens to them when he gives up everything for her but she gets her big break?6) Dennis right hand manHe tries to negotiate with the family for the house. He falls in love with the manager. He wants to marry the manager but he just can't seem to make it happen.7) JudyThe current queen of fashion who can be vicious. Fiancé of the man I will refer to by his alias Dennis. She wants to stay at the top and marry Dennis at all costs. She will plot and steal chances from others while looking like it's not her fault. She has a strange relationship with the half brother who just can't seem to live without her. He's willing to give up his playboy ways for her if she'll give him her love. But she just doesn't love him even though he seems to know her best. He kisses her and says that kisses don't lie but why can't she love him? He's even willing to help Judy with her evil plans.8) Yeo WeiThis is a person that Mei Bao tries to help with a place to live and to become a model. She's beautiful on the outside but not so much on the inside. She only wants a rich husband. She does horrible things. She looks like Ray's dead girlfriend and that is why Ray liked her. She will hurt anyone and do anything to get to the top. She teems up with Judy to bring havoc to Mei Bao 's career and they steal the commercial for milk from her. She decides the best way to get rich quick is to have an affair with Zhen Gang in hopes of marrying him.9) Zhen GangHe is Dennis half brother who happens to love Judy to no ends. He would like to marry her. He is very jealous of his brother and is very devious. He has a bad reputation about his being a playboy. And will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He sleeps with and disposes women easily. He says that he has enough children with these women to start his own kindergarten. He is truly business smart and successful. But he is a very cold heartless person except when it comes to Judy.These people love house they live in. Mei Bao hopes that her birthmother will return for her if they stay there. The motherly woman was left this by her husband and all of her memories are there. While the nephew wants to sell it for another get rich quick scheme.CommentsI bought this drama because I liked the actress that played Judy in other dramas THE FIERCE WIFE and IN BETWEEN. But this drama wasn't what I thought it would be. This actress was not the main focus character. I wish there was a review here before I bought it to tell me that. I would have had a different expectation of it going into it. But this is a backstabbing drama of making it to the top by any means possible. I really didn't connect with any of the romances in this drama. And I've seen better kiss scenes. This is one you will either love or hate. I thought that this drama should have cost less but because it is newer it is still on the higher end still. But I'm happy to have it for my collection. I'm still waiting for IN BETWEEN to be sold. It takes longer for these dramas to come to the market for sale. THERE'S A DRAMA FOR THAT
